The project involved the installation of a new TRICON™ MK 3 PLC-based control system for a CPP (Controllable Pitch Propeller) propulsion plant. The scope included replacing existing control components, upgrading interfaces, and ensuring system functionality and reliability. The system featured the Non-Follow-Up (NFU) operation mode, resolving existing system issues.
The TRICON™ MK 3 CPP propulsion control system was designed with seamless integration to the vessels’ existing Dynamic Positioning System.
The project was completed within the stipulated timeframe, successfully upgrading the CPP propulsion plant’s control system to a TRICON™ MK 3 PLC-based solution. The installation and programming were carried out efficiently, addressing all existing issues and meeting client satisfaction. The new system enhances the operational capabilities and reliability of the propulsion plant, providing a robust solution for future operations.
