Our recent case studies
on Tricon DP System
The TRICONTM DP 1, is engineered to meet the Class notation for Class 1 DP Systems, including necessary interface with the vessel power plants, position-reference systems and sensors.
The TRICONTM DP 2, is engineered to meet the Class notation for Class 2 DP Systems, incorporating a redundant Dynamic Positioning control station and Independent Joystick Control Station. Designed for single point fault tolerance, the vessel can maintain position and heading even after a single point failure in any component. It features an automatic switch-over to the hot standby computer in case of failure in the on-line computer, ensuring continuous operation and reliability.
The TRICONTM DP3, is engineered to meet the Class notation for Class 3 DP Systems, incorporating redundant Dynamic Positioning control stations and Independent Joystick control stations. Designed for single point fault tolerance, the vessel can maintain position and heading even after a single point failure in any component or fire/flooding of one compartment.
Dynamic positioning serves as a vital tool across diverse marine sectors. We excel beyond traditional ship control, catering to non-typical offshore tasks such as wind farm support vessels, fast crew boats, cruise and ferry ships, ice-going vessels, and more.
The system is available as a standalone option, or can be interfaced with the TRICON™ Dynamic Positioning System.
A standard requirement for vessels designed for critical operations such as diving vessels, drilling vessels, pipelaying barges, or more, the DP Alert System is essentially a traffic light signal system designed to alert the operator of any degradation to the vessel’s DP system or the vessel’s ability to continue operation.
Available in 230/115V 50/60Hz and 24Vdc versions, with one or more slave units, featuring standard status push-buttons with dimming functionality on the master unit, push-buttons with functionality to test the visual light signal columns placed at appropriate locations around the vessel and more, the TRICON™ DP Alert System is tailored and designed with scalability in mind, to meet simple and complex client requirements.
The system is designed in accordance with the requirements of the M103 and M220 IMCA regulations and is ASOG compliant.
We provide comprehensive Dynamic Positioning (DP) training compliant with the IMCA Code of Practice M117 Rev 3. Our training programs are designed to meet industry standards, ensuring thorough preparation and certification for maritime professionals.
